September 2025:
Congratulations to Alex Bilello '28, Annette Chang '27, and Ethan Sandoval '26 for putting together and presenting great posters for the Harvey Mudd College Poster Session! Alex presented work investigating 3D differences between patients with patellar instability who are treated nonoperatively and either do or do not require later surgery. Annette presented work estimating patellofemoral joint mechanics using musculoskeletal simulation. Ethan presented work developing a statistical shape model of knees with patellar instability.
August 2025:
Welcome Izze Stolzoff '26 to the team! Izze will join Sara Wexler '26 in investigating cueing in ACL injury prevention and brings experience in measuring movement with OpenCap.
July 2025:
We are excited to present the 3D Patellar instability Anatomical Severity Score (3D-PASS), a novel metric of patellar instability severity that is associated with patient-reported outcomes one year after baseline, at the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine meeting this month and at the American Society of Biomechanics meeting next month!
May 2025:
Congratulations to George Skaff '25 on graduating! We are so grateful for your work in developing a bone and cartilage segmentation model to help launch HUMBLE off the ground. Best wishes for your next chapter in your MS at Vanderbilt!
March 2025:
Welcome Alex Bilello '28, Andra Marinescu '27, and Ethan Sandoval '26 to the team! Alex, Andra, and Ethan span three majors (Engineering, Physics, and CS) and three class years (first-year, sophomore, and junior). The will join Annette for a ten-week summer research program in HUMBLE.
January 2025:
