Grading:
There will be no homeworks or exams in this class. The final grade
is solely determined by your performances on the seven bi-weekly projects to
be assigned through out the semester.
Project Assignment:
These projects will be assigned sequentially along with the progress
of the lectures.
Project Submission:
When a project assignment is due, you should copy your results, the
images together with a text file describing how you obtained them, to:
/home/adder/classes/e186/students/projk/
where 1 <= k <= 7 is the index number of the project. Names of all submitted
files (images and texts) should start with your last name, as specified in
each assignment.
Late Project Policy:
NO late project will be accepted.
You should start to work on each project as soon as it is assigned.
Don't wait until the night before it's due. You definitely won't be
able to finish it if you do so.
Computer Demonstrations:
A set of 9 (maybe more in the future) computer demonstrations is available
to give you a better way to see what effects each of several image processing
operations has. These demonstrations are developed in C and run under a
computer visualization/graphics/image-processing package called AVS. Details of
how to run these demons will be given in class.
