Island Migration Program Information
Biological Theory
In this program, we examine the gene flow due to the migration of
individuals between two islands. After many generations of migration,
the allele frequencies of the island populations should converge. The
migration rate is given to be the proportion of the new population
which has migrated from the other island since the last generation.
A large mainland may be simulated by setting the migration rate of one
the islands to zero.
