We will use the big table in Parsons 1265 as a work space for preparing presentations. Please be VERY careful of the table and furniture while working with your materials. The room door will remain unlocked through the week of April 29th to Friday, May 2nd. Presentations MUST be finished during the week, and they can be stored there until Monday morning, May 5th, when they will go down to Gallileo Foyer.
I will supply each of you with one 4X4 foot foam mounting board. There will also be several kinds of fastening devices available. You may want to purchase colored 8 ½ X 11 paper to use as a backing when mounting your images. [Other backings are possible and up to you.]
Your presentation should consist of an aesthetically organized arrangement of 8X10 images and a single-sheet typed "artist's statement" which bears your name, a brief biography that "places" your photo/art experiences, and some statement about the images you are presenting. The 4X4 boards will be displayed on easels in Galileo Foyer all day. Please try to be present for brief periods of time in order to answer questions about your work and the class.
