THANK YOUS

Throughout this project and this semester (spring 2002) we have receive assistance, information and help from numerous people. We would like to take this opportunity to thank them for making this project possible.

First and foremost we would like to thank Professor Tad Beckman at Harvey Mudd College for being our mentor for this independent study project and putting up with our sleep deprivation, escapades and underwater adventures. Also for being a constant resource of information, references and guidance.

We would also like to thank Ginger Ridgeway who is the curator at the Agua Caliente Cultural Museum for sharing her vast knowledge of the Cahuilla culture and of Cahuilla basketry with us. Also we would like to thank the museum for allowing us to use pictures of their baskets on this webpage.

We would like to thank Christine Giles who is an associate curator of art at the Palm Springs Desert Museum for guiding us through the museum's collection of basketry as well as the storage for the museum.

We would also like to thank Bethany Morookian and the California Academy of Sciences for allowing us to use photographs from the museum on our webpage.

We would like to thank Bill J. McMorris and Diane Curry from the Oakland Museum of California for allowing us to use photographs and information from the museum on our webpage.

Also we would to thank Jean Beckner, the Librarian of Special Collections, at Honnold/Mudd Library on the Claremont Colleges in California for helping us with research.

Allison: Personally I would like to thank Sarah Jane Stetina for sticking by me to complete this project even though her life went in a different direction.
