Gallery Four: Flowers

Flowers present an especially pleasing natural subject. They offer an indefinite variety of color and form. The textured petals offer marvelous ways of seeing light and shade. Having said all of that, it is still simply awesome to explore nature's incredible abundance and variety.

Almost all of these flower images were created with a Nikon digital camera "coolpix" E995, using the HI resolution 3.1 megapixel setting, recorded on a Compact Flash I memory card. The digital files were handled with Photoshop 5.5 with minimal adjustment, except for sizing and formatting as JPEG files at 100 dpi.
