Assassination of the Duke De Guise both with and without music. What do you feel? What changes in your experience?
Why would underscoring be more common in film than in live theater?
As you watch these different clips, take notes on how the different music or lack of it affects your perception of the film.
Which version do you think best fits what the filmmaker was trying to visually express and why?
